Joel’s core expertise lies in Risk Strategy & Assurance, Finance, and Business Advisory. His 15+ years of experience spans Financial Institutions, Telecoms, Energy, and Government sectors across various continents. He has rapidly progressed into senior management roles in three multibillion-dollar multinational companies and spoken at conferences in Africa, North America, and Latin America.

In 2022, Joel won the Africa Continuity and Resilience Professional award for the private sector and was nominated for a global award. He has led major initiatives such as supporting a critical acquisition in South Africa’s telecom market. He also serves as Vice President, Finance/Treasurer for the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) across the Atlantic region of Canada, the top global association for internal auditors. Joel is passionate about mentoring young professionals and sharing his thought leadership on risk management’s impact on organizations.
